Culture, heritage, art, and just good old fashioned fun await anyone who wants to visit New Roads’ 7th annual ‘Market at the Mill’ – the premier, three-day shopping event for the city.
For the low price of $5 – good for the entire weekend of April 13-15 – you gain entry to the inside of an old cotton oil mill, seven blocks north of the historic Downtown New Roads. 38,000 square feet of wonder await, including antique furniture, architechtural garden pieces, art, fine gifts, pottery, ceramics, and more! All of which are available for purchase.
“Our Market at the Mill event has become a much-anticipated and much-celebrated outing for shoppers from across the region,” City of New Roads Mayor Anthony Daisy said. “This year’s event promises to live up to the high expectations our shopping guests have come to expect.”
The event has expanded to include children’s activities, as well, including an art class on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make Mother’s Day cards.
Full hours for the event are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
