They say home is where the heart is – so, one ambitious hotel is bringing a new concept to the New Orleans area which hopes to provide a luxurious experience, while making guests feel right at home.

For 60 years, the Jung Hotel in New Orleans was considered one of the ‘cream of the crop’ destinations for travelers. Situated directly on Canal Street, travelers were treated to an experience of the senses, reflective of the Big Easy.

Broad color schemes, bodacious decorations, and eccentric artwork combined with comfortable amenities and elegant finishes brought guests and kept them coming back for more inside the famed hotel. But, Jung faced hardships including changes in ownership and downturns in the economy.

Now, Jung is making its triumphant return with a new, ambitious owner who believes that the hotel doesn’t have to market itself as just a place to stay – it can be a home away from home.

The hotel combines ‘art, history, and luxury’ into an iconic downtown New Orleans look, meant to provide a wondrous sensory experience, as well as offer the comforts of home inside individual rooms of the hotel, and suites of the Jung Residences.

“A masterpiece of style and technology… savor a unique travel or living experience full of character and bold design, complete with distinctive amenities and cutting-edge community.” New ownership spared no expense in making sure every guest was able to consume the experience, employing the best engineers and architects New Orleans could offer.

Jung offers two different options for every guest: the aforementioned Jung Residences for guests looking interesting in a longer stay, and the rooms of the Jung Hotel. Both sit within the old-style, red brick building that was so common for New Orleans in New Orleans in the early 1900s – giving the outer framework the true, traditional Big Easy look.

But, upon entering the lobby, guests will immediately see the upgrades. Polished Italian Porcelain floors run to meet white Carrera marble walls which rise ceiling to floor, as well as ceiling-to-floor windows giving lounging guests a perfect view of the spectacle that is Canal Street.

Upstairs, the hotel and residences provide a full-service gym for the healthy traveler, as well as office space for those who want to get out of their room to do a little work.

Just above that, the rooms… each ready to receive its new resident. You can find all the tastes of home inside including a full-service kitchen, dining area, lounging area, bedroom, and a bathroom. The soft, cream-colored walls offer serenity, hosting pictures of calm scenes. The full-tile bathrooms exude luxury, and comfort, as residents enjoy a hot shower or soothing bath.

Finally, the roof-top pool – the final piece of decadence mounted atop the pillar of luxury. The glass-surrounded terrace looks out upon the skyline of New Orleans, offering breath-taking views of the city while containing everything in a comfortable space with lounging chairs, tables, and a full-service bar. Enjoy a tasty drink as you soak in the sites, or take some time to relax in the beautiful blue pool
