Head to Breaux Bridge, crawfish capital of the world, on October 5th and 6th for the largest selection of treasures and special sales along the bayou!  Some say it is the biggest and best outdoor market in south Louisiana.   If you continue along St. Bernard Drive, you will come to Parc des Ponts de Pont Breaux (park of bridges of Breaux Bridge) in historic downtown. Here you will find vendors who line the streets with anything and everything you can imagine for the two-day shopping extravaganza. Antiques, trinkets, art, and collectibles are just a few things you can find as you wander the stalls of this historic district.  And, of course, everything is couched against the delicious smells of exquisite Cajun cooking.

Billed as a ‘huge, outdoor flea market,’ all local shops will be open as well.  Shops will be offering their own discounts and specialty items. If you have a favorite store on the bayou, it’s worth the trip to check them out and see if you can score something special.  We have known shoppers to find the most beautiful art and valuable antiques and jewelry at garage sale prices.  If you like the hunt,  this is your event!

The city also invites anyone who might have anything special they want to sell to participate in the event by calling 337-332-1030 or e-mailing For more information, visit the St. Martin Tourist Commission.
